Our second hike since Sarah got here, we went to the lighthouse on the south east corner of the island. It was sort of steep, but paved and therefore easier than the ones we've been doing lately. It was absolutely gorgeous and it's breeding season for the humpback whales right now, so they're here in Hawaii....we saw probably 5 whales, but not the whole whale, just spouts from blowholes and the occasional side of a fin. The view was breath taking, and there were a couple guys on hang gliders showing off directly above our heads-seriously this one guy kept swooping down like 10 ft above our heads. The boys had a lot of fun and Sarah kept cracking us up because she was so freaked out about the boys walking around (it was a steep drop off). We will probably be doing this one again before too long.
