January 30th was Rod's first trip to the dentist. Sterling and Rod were so good at the dentist that I was actually surprised! My kiddos are generally well behaved, but this was beyond the normal good. Rod watched Sterling go first and I think that helped him, then when he was feeling apprehensive at his turn, Sterling held his hand until he was relaxed. No cavities and the dentist said whatever I'm doing to keep it up :) Yea for me! They were very excited to pick their toys and the dentist said we wouldn't need to snip Sterling's and Rod's fraenums (the reason for the gap in front top teeth) until the permanent teeth really start to fill in. So, we've got a little while for Sterling and a long while for Rod. Also, the dentist said Sterling will need braces (big surprise!) down the road....
Dentist!
Where did all your teeth go?
Sterling has lost 4 teeth in this one week and he is looking pretty funny. He looks in the mirror a lot the past couple days to see the oddity that is his mouth. He is growing up so quickly I can almost hear it happening...it's kind of freaking me out!
Gymnastics
Sterling has been going to gymnastics for a month or two and he is doing so well. The other kids in his class tend to mess around and not really try, but he's always running hard and doing his best. He's been doing so well that the teacher came over to us a couple classes ago and asked how we motivate him so well...he just is so excited about going and he wants to do better than everyone else! LOL! For class on Monday he was the only one who showed up, so he was able to get some one on one instruction. He is really impressing us :)
Chuckie Cheese
We went to Chuckie Cheese's today! Yea....Robert took off work so we could go when it wasn't crazy and crowded. The boys had fun, of course...We got there before it opened, so we had to wait, then the boys ran around "playing" games before we could even get tokens. Picture of Roddy is him giving me a kiss. Pic of Sterling is when he was playing air hockey with some random kid there and he was really serious about winning, but the other boy ended up winning - he was excited for him and said,"Hey, you WON!!" All in all, a good day!
Boys
The boys being cute...Robert wrestling with them, the boys are getting so big, and we're just enjoying them so much!
